In the crowded field of mattresses on the internet, Saatva stands apart in fundamental ways. Saatva delivers its mattresses by trucks, not in boxes. While, like other online sellers they have progressively developed its range, Saatva remains focused on the selection of “luxury” models that are all costing, with the exception of it’s Youth model, which is more than $1,500 (for a queen). Saatva Reviews Reddit
Sure, there’s a range of mattresses that are more luxurious than Saatva’s, with greater coil counts and more refined materials.
However, we consider Saatva’s mattresses one of the most stylish and well-designed options that are available from an online business.
In the last 2 years we’ve group-tested the insidespring Saatva Classic, the memory-foam Loom and Leaf, as well as the all-latex Zenhaven which have all been among our top picks in our guides to the best foam mattresses and the top innerspring mattresses.
We’ve also experienced sleeping on the Saatva latex hybrid as well as researched the components and construction of the other beds in Saatva’s lineup. The majority of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, which is why this Saatva Classic stands out. It’s one of the few innerspring mattresses that you can buy on the internet.
Pocketed coils provide Saatva Classic Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top. The plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses that are available, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in boxes. Saatva also provides an extensive 180-day trial and easy returns.
It’s all foam. Loom & Leaf is made of more dense memory foam than the majority of mattresses under $1,000, making it less likely to shift over time. This is why it’s better for people who weigh over 200 pounds.
The quilted and thick cover is cushier and more robust than the sock-like covers that are found on many foam mattresses, and that cover makes the memory foam layer beneath feel less soft and squishy.
Like you would expect from an innerspring mattress The Loom and Leaf reduces motion more as compared to the innerspring Saatva Classic.Zenhaven is a 100% foam mattress. Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, specifically Talalay latex. It’s made from the rubber tree plant’s milky sap. It is incredibly tough. Talalay is less stiff than Dunlop latex that is commonly found in the less expensive latex mattresses we’ve tested.
The Zenhaven can also be flipped (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, whereas it’s Gentle Firm side feels a little more firm) It could prove useful if you’re not certain which side you prefer or your needs change with time.
This isn’t a traditional soft mattress, but it has a soft cushion, excellent edge support, as well as a mild springiness.
Given its innate quality, the Zenhaven should work well for people who weigh over 200 pounds. Saatva Reviews Reddit
Making sense of Saatva
Saatva’s portfolio of beds-many with a choice of firmness levels and catering to almost every comfort preference-includes:
- Saatva Classic (innerspring)
- Loom & Leaf (all foam)
- Zenhaven (all latex)
- Saatva Latex Hybrid (latex with coils)
- Solaire (a Bed with air chambers that can be adjusted)
- Saatva HD (a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds)
- Saatva Youth (a foam-coil hybrid designed for kids ages 3 through 12)
We haven’t yet taken an in-depth analysis of what we consider to be the “natural” claims of Saatva or others “eco-friendly” brand names.
But we do know that Saatva uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a fire retardant (as in contrast to chemicals or fiberglass) as well as only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its mattress covers.
As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zones for “optimal spine support” We’re not as satisfied with these features, but we’re more impressed by Saatva’s quick customer service and durable foams and coils. Saatva Reviews Reddit
Saatva Video Review
Who’s it for:The Saatva Classic is likely to suit those who prefer a cushy (but not overly bulky) top layer and an extremely durable, supple feel. Its Luxury Firm version (Saatva’s “Medium” offer), which we tested will be suitable for the back, sidestomach and side-sleepers. The soft Plush Soft version is geared to those who sleep on their sides, as does the Firm version for stomach- and back-sleepers.
How it feels:We tested the Luxury Firm version of the Saatva Classic – the brand’s most sought-after model. We discovered it to be soft on top, and with excellent support and bounce. It has an incredibly firm feel but it softens slightly after a break-in period of about a month.
We like:The Saatva Classic is one of the few innerspring mattresses that can be purchased online without the ease more commonly associated with purchasing the traditional boxed foam mattress. It has 416 strong, robust coils in the base for support with 884 wrapped individually, more flexible coils stacked on top, for pressure relief. There’s also a bit of memory foam included in the mix, however the cushioning is actually a 3-inch polyfoam-and-fiber Euro top (an additional layer of cushion that is sewn beneath the top). The resultant feel is broad in appeal, being supple, supportive, and with a plushness that doesn’t feel bulky.
We tried the 14 1/2-inch Saatva Classic in Luxury Firm during a 2021 test group that included springs (it’s additionally available in 11 1/2″) It was the top choice, with the second highest number of top-rated scores (nine out of 39 test participants) in the category of $1,000 to $2,000 (which comprised three other mattresses: the Avocado, the Parachute, and the first-place WinkBed). Five of the nine test subjects were awestruck by their Saatva Classic better than any of the other mattresses on the same test, including those which cost twice as much as the Saatva Classic. Two of the nine testers selected the Saatva Classic as their second-favorite overall.
As for the home test I was looking forward to sleeping in this bed every night. I don’t like an overly billowy bed, so I liked that the Classic’s Euro top felt to me like the ideal amount of cuddling. The bed has some bounce but not so much that my husband’s rolling over woke me up-to me, the feeling of buoyancy was worth the price in motion-isolation.
It’s priced at around $1,600 when not in sale (though it often is) The Saatva Classic is the least expensive innerspring mattress that we’ve tested that feels thick and luxurious. We also love the fact that you have the option of choosing between three levels of firmness-Plush soft, luxury firm, or Firm-so you can likely find the right one regardless of what position you sleep in. Unlike the more-billowy WinkBed Another option from the innerspring mattress guide Saatva Classic is Saatva Classic is delivered unboxed by moving companies (so that “new scent of the mattress” has already dissipated in the factory and while in transit) This “white gloves” delivery service is completely free. The company offers a generous 180-day trial period, and a 15-year warranty.
The things we do not like: If you don’t like a bouncy mattress, or are sensitive to your sleep partner’s movements while in bed You probably won’t enjoy this mattress. Saatva Classic. While the top coils are individually wrapped the bottom ones aren’t, which means that the mattress has some motion transfer than our other innerspring choices, such as that of the WinkBed. If you’re not a fan of any bounce at all, you’re better off with Saatva’s Loom & Leaf.
It is worth noting that the Saatva Classic also requires a little bit of time to get used to. When we first tested the mattress in the year 2018, it felt medium-firm; a year and a quarter later we noticed that it’s softened a little, but in a pleasant way (at least to me). This is not a “Soft” mattress but those who prefer that might be interested in the Plush Soft version, which we haven’t yet tried.
Although the company touts the “active Lumbar Zone” technology to provide “additional back support” our husband (who weighs less than 200 pounds) was still in search of more support from the Luxury Firm. He may have seen it in the Firm version, but we haven’t tested the technology at this point, therefore we don’t confirm it. In general, we’re not overly impressed with zoned technology, because people are of different sizes and heights, and they may spread in a manner that doesn’t coincide with the patterns of zoning.
The foam density in Saatva Classic are lower than those in Saatva Classic are less than those of the Loom & Leaf, the company’s foam-mattress offering. Although company representatives wouldn’t divulge the details, we were told that memory foam is at least 3 pounds in cubic feet and the polyfoam density is 1 1/2 pounds per cubic foot.
This isn’t as great than the density of the Loom & Leaf, but these are the norm for an innerspring mattress, particularly ones in this price range. In contrast to foam mattresses, the steel coils of this mattress provide extra support and quilting may help to prevent body impressions.
But , as in this Reddit post indicates, some sleepers have had more success using the Saatva mattresses over the course of several years than others; we think this likely depends on the sleeper’s size and shape. As with all thick Europillows, or mattresses with a pillow top, the more you weigh the greater chance of seeing sagging and imprints as time passes.
So you’ll want to turn your mattress regularly at least every six months, and then sleep all over your mattress.
Saatva Classic top owner-review feedback
We could find just 39 reviews from owners that were of high quality (those which didn’t appear fake or vague and were published in the past, both in 2019 , and in 2020). Although the sample size was relatively small, we think it’s notable that nearly 30% of the positive reviews praised Saatva’s customer support. That’s a much bigger percentage than what we’ve seen from other online mattress businesses.
We also noticed that six of the reviewers mentioned that sagging was a problem; one of these reviewers had a weight of more than 200 pounds and the other weighed less than that or didn’t say. All but one had owned the mattress for more than a year at the time of their review. This suggests that rotating the mattress is essential and heavier individuals who enjoy innersprings might consider an innerspring mattress that is more durable latex foam, such as this one from the Charles P. Rogers Estate SE. Saatva Reviews Reddit
Saatva Loom & Leaf
Who it’s to be used for All-foam Loom & Leaf appeals to those who prefer a memory foam that holds instead of encasing them in a soft, slow hug. The softer Relaxed Firm version could be ideal for sleepers on the side. It is intended for stomach or back sleepers. People who weigh more than 200 pounds may consider the Firm to be more supportive over the Relaxed version.
What it feels like:The Relaxed Firm is a mattress with a moderate firmness that holds you without pulling you in. it’s the firm (which we’ve only tried in a showroom) is much firmer.
We like: The 12-inch thick Loom & Leaf comes with a durable, quilted, and sturdy cover, similar to the one you’d get on a good innerspring mattress (by contrast, the majority of memory foam mattresses are made of sock-like, thin covers). The cover is made of foam padding that adds more depth to the normally single-note squishiness that is common to memory-foam mattresses. I have slept on the Relaxed firm at home for over one week and enjoyed the fact that it was soft and substantial in the same way. The husband of mine, who loves firm mattresses and weighs just under 200 pounds-70 pounds more than me-felt it was too soft.
Whereas most online mattresses have a memory-foam density in the 3-pounds-per-cubic-foot range, the Loom & Leaf’s top layer has a 4-pounds-per-cubic-foot density with a gel-infused layer meant to assist with cooling (though cooling features like gel and perforations tend to have minimal impact). The mattress also has a 5-pounds-per-cubic-foot memory-foam layer underneath that top layer. With these specifications it is our opinion that this mattress will be less likely to sag or form body indentions as compared to cheaper foam mattresses, even for those who weigh more than 200 pounds (though it may not be suitable when you weigh over 250 pounds; read reviews from owners, below). Like any foam mattress, it also offers quality motion isolation.
The year 2020 was the first time we tested our Loom & Leaf Relaxed Firm against the Serta iComfort (both are all-foam mattresses costing more than $1,000) The results showed that twenty-one out of 29 users preferred the Loom & Leaf. “It was softer” was the most frequent explanation; some even said it was more “cushioned.” We tested it with Casper Wave Casper Wave in 2019 and the results were split (18 in favor of the Wave; 16 for the Loom & Leaf). Those who opted for that Loom & Leaf preferred its “cushier” or “more flexible” feel or liked the feel of its quilting and those who opted for more of the Casper Wave described the Wave as being more supportive and that the Loom & Leaf as making them feel more “stuck.”
We also like our appreciation that Loom & Leaf, like the rest of Saatva Company’s mattresses, is delivered unboxed, by movers. That means you don’t have to let it air out, like you do with many boxed mattresses; most off-gassing will have occurred in the manufacturing facility.
We don’t love HTML0: We wish Saatva offered a firmness level between Relaxed Firm and Firm-the two levels appear to be to be at least a couple of degrees from each other. Although it is true that the Loom & Leaf has better edge support than the other popular models on the internet (such as the Leesa or Casper) Casper), it’s not as robust as a combination (like that of the Leesa Hybrid or Tempur-Adapt).
Despite the Loom and Leaf’s cooler gel, as well as its pin core (punctured) design touted on the top layer, I was able to sleep quite warm on this mattress, which was surprising because I’m always cold. But given that it was in the middle in winter, I did not feel too much. The tiny holes made to cool the foam could compromise the durability in the mattress, however it’s likely to be only marginally. Given that the Loom & Leaf has a top layer of memory foam that weighs 4 grams per cubic foot it should be more durable than your typical foam mattress that costs less than $1,000.
Loom & Leaf top owner-review feedback
We found only 16 high-quality, recent user reviews for the Loom & Leaf. Just as with Saatva Classic, as with Saatva Classic, excellent customer service is a standout from the positive reviews. In the years 2019 and 2020 reviews, more people described this Loom & Leaf as “too firm” rather than “too too soft.” But it’s difficult to make a conclusion about its texture. Many reviewers didn’t mention whether they’d purchased one of the Relaxed Firm or the Firm.
Also, we noticed that heavier reviewers tend to refer to their experience with the Loom & Leaf as too soft or even too loose or even. For instance, we found reviews on Reddit about it being too soft or even saggy. Relaxed Firm version being sagging for those who weigh around 250 pounds; if this is you, you might consider using the Firm version (though it’s very stiff) or the Tempur-Adapt (which is also made of dense foam, but it has a more distinct memory foam hug). If you weigh more than 200 pounds, look into Zenhaven. Zenhaven Zenhaven, which is constructed with intrinsically more-durable latex foam. Saatva Reviews Reddit
Does it merit our recommendation? Yes.
Who is it to be used for Its latex foam Zenhaven is a good choice for people sleeping in all positions, particularly those who prefer a soft cushion without that “sunk-in” sensation. It’s also good for all types of people, including those who weigh over 200 pounds.
The way it feels The foam mattress is flippable and has handles that allow you to pick between two options: Its Luxury Plush aspect is on the gentle side of the medium-firm spectrum and is ideal for those who sleep on their sides. This side’s Gentle Firm side offers a slightly firmer feel (the company says it’s about 20 percent firmer, which seems right to us).
What we like: Zenhaven Zenhaven comprises of two latex layers (one that is zoned to provide pressure points and lower back support however this could or could not be useful according to your body size and position on the bed). Latex is a kind of foam made from the milky sap of the rubber tree and it is intrinsically stronger than polyurethane foam or memory foam, so we think this mattress is sturdy for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
We are impressed that the Zenhaven is constructed specifically out of Talalay latex which is more supple than the Dunlop latex typically found in cheaper, stiffer latex mattresses like the Sleep On Latex Pure Green. Both the luxury Plush and Gentle Firm sides of the Zenhaven feel supple and not flexible. The entire bed is also more comfortable than beds made mostly with Dunlop latex.
I slept on the Zenhaven for several months. I personally prefer a more-pillowy feeling (like those of Saatva Classic), but the Luxury Plush part of the Zenhaven was becoming more appealing to me. After using it for a few weeks, I began to appreciate its soft, slightly springy surface and cushioned cradle.
My son, who is 10, enjoys climbing on it and the Zenhaven’s motion isolation doesn’t prevent me from being a bit uncomfortable about that. But it’s good enough that I don’t feel the need to notice my husband’s movements during the night. Edge support on the Zenhaven is better than that of most foam mattresses, such as the Loom & Leaf.
My husband, who is just under 200 pounds, and who usually is a back sleeper, likes Zenhaven to be more comfortable and appealing. Zenhaven superior to the other mattresses. It is more solid and more appealing than the memory foam Loom & Leaf the Relaxed Firm and Saatva Classic Luxury Firm. Saatva Classic Luxury Firm.
The Zenhaven is shipped by movers and not in a box, so you’re less likely give off that new-mattress smell in your home. You can switch between the softer Luxury Plush side and gentle firm side Gentle Firm side as your preferences and requirements change, or you are unsure of the firmness level you’d like. Because the mattress is heavy (the queen weighs at 125 pounds), Saatva will send movers to help you with a one-time “courtesy” switch.
The things we don’t love about HTML0:Although the Zenhaven has more supple and soft feel than other mattresses that are all-latex online but it’s less luxurious than similarly priced innersprings as well as traditional foam mattresses because it’s not typically “fluffy.” It was the only two (of 29) staff members who were more satisfied than the other models in our 2020 test of the hybrid and foam mattresses stated that they enjoyed its firmness, and believed that it could last for a long period of duration. (In the latex category, most staffers in our blind test preferred the PranaSleep Lotus Asana 6 in Plush, which has a latex-polyurethane-foam construction and costs over $1,000 more than the Zenhaven.)
Since the Zenhaven is extremely heavy and has two sides and two-sided, it must be placed on a sturdy, good-quality platform bed or frame and boxspring that are in good shape. Saatva sells the frame with a boxspring (which comes in two heights) plus a metal frame.
Zenhaven top owner-review feedback
We were able to find just 18 reviews from owners of high-quality for the Zenhaven-too small a sample to draw any firm, non-subjective conclusions, beyond excellent customer service. We did however find one particularly insightful review from a long-term owner with no weight (though he did claim that he was 6 feet 4 inches high).
He claimed that after a year and a half, he still was impressed by its cushion and strength, but because he hadn’t been rotating the mattressregularly, there was a hip impression after which, when he started turning the mattress each six months, he claimed the imprint disappeared. This section will be updated after we’ve gathered more high-quality reviews. Saatva Reviews Reddit
Saatva Latex Hybrid
Who is it to be used forThe Saatva Latex Hybrid is best suited to those who prize sturdiness over sumptuousness. It’s ideal for stomach- and back-sleepers as well as people who move around often. It’s durable enough for most people, including those who weigh more than 200 pounds.
How it feels:This 13-inch latex-and-coil hybrid is on the firm side of medium-firm. It’s very buoyant, a touch bouncy, with some cushioning and cradling. It’s certainly not luxurious, though, and you sleep more in the mattress than in it.
We like:The Saatva Latex Hybrid is constructed with high-quality materials and techniques for construction. The quilted top, constructed from cotton as well as wool (a natural flame-repellant), is hand-tufted to the layers underneath. Tufting (commonly used on upholstery or traditional-style in-sofa mattresses) is a type of stitching with a heavy-duty structure that holds the layers together, which some argue has more durability than glue, and eliminates the chemical smell of adhesives. The peaks and valleys created by tufting could help limit any obvious body impressions. This is more than the smooth-topped, sock-covered mattresses you typically see in hybrids sold online.
Though most hybrids place a layer of polyurethane foam over coils, Saatva’s Saatva Latex Hybrid uses 3 inches of Talalay latex foam (which is ample, compared with the pricier Casper Wave, which uses half as much). Latex is more breathable and durable than memory foams, or polyurethane. Talalay latex, utilized in the Zenhaven mattress, is a more breathable, supple and comfortable foam in comparison to the Dunlop variety often used in cheaper mattresses made of latex.
Wirecutter’s supervising Editor Wendy Schley tested the Saatva Latex Hybrid for a few months at home. She found it very supportive and sturdy. “It feels almost buoyant,” she said. “There’s some cushioning however it’s not extravagant in a plush way.” Wendy found that the mattress was bouncy, springy feel reminiscent of an innerspring. She also did not feel stuck, but the latex foam offered some motion isolation. The edge support is great, due to thick (13 3/4 gauge) 8-inch coils that run along the edges.
Due to its breathable material (the Talalay latex, cotton cover and wool layer on the top) and coils that make up this Saatva Latex Hybrid should sleep cooler than all-foam mattresses or hybrids that are made of polyfoams. Wendy, who tends to be hot at night, found the Saatva Latex Hybrid to be significantly cooler than other mattresses, though we haven’t yet tested it during the summer months.
We haven’t spotted enough good-quality Saatva Latex Hybrid reviews to discern any trends, but we’ll keep you updated as we find.
What we don’t like: Though the coils are individually wrapped, there’s still a touch of motion transfer due to, it’s just that, coils. This isn’t as significant as Motion transfer found on Saatva Classic, but it’s more pronounced when compared to all-foam models such as those from the Loom & Leaf or Zenhaven.
A queen-sized Latex Hybrid contains 789 coils (fewer than in our favorite hybrid mattresses, the Tempur-Adapt as well as the Leesa Hybrid, that have more than 1,000). When a mattress has fewer coils, it can mean that the mattress will not adjust with your physique. However, the supple feel that the layer of latex can make more up for it.
As Wendy experienced that night, it’s true that the Saatva Latex Hybrid isn’t an Ahhh type of mattress. It feels like it’s lifting you up instead of snuggling you down. It may not offer enough cushioning to offer sufficient pressure relief for side sleepers as well as back-sleepers who require extra cushioning for certain joints.
Wendy, sleeping on both her back and sides and has reported that she’s felt sore in her shoulders and lower back after sleeping on the Saatva Latex Hybrid. If you’re looking for something more luxurious, you might prefer one of the Saatva Classic or the Loom & Leaf (both come in multiple degrees of firmness, including those that feel softer than the Saatva Latex).
The tufting of the Latex Hybrid’s is highlighted by decorative yarn tassels. They look pretty but are apparently flimsily attached, and one of the tassels on the mattress Wendy tried to unraveled after a few weeks. Saatva Reviews Reddit
Saatva Solaire Adjustable
Saatva’s Solaire has an adjustable-air mattress, made of foam placed on top of air chambers which can be programmed to the level you prefer by using the remote. We haven’t yet tried the Solaire yet however we’ll update this guide once we’ve had the chance to. In the meantime, we’ll talk about what we do know.
Saatva introduced the Solaire in 2019 to compete with Sleep Number’s high-end i8 mattress. In addition to having air chambers as well as remotes and a remote, the Solaire is equipped with an adjustable pillow top, Talalay Latex Layer, and an infused memory foam layer. It’s also cheaper by $650 over the Sleep Number’s i8.
It has 50 different settings as opposed to Sleep Number’s 20. However, in reality, we’re not sure if users really need this many. At a glance, the comfort components look like they’d provide a more-curve-conforming cradle than Sleep Number’s polyurethane foam layers.
However we won’t be able to tell for sure until we lie in the bed. Solaire’s Talalay latex materials suggest longevity however, since Sleep Number doesn’t provide any details on its foam materials, we can’t say that one bed is more durable than the other.
If you decide to go with either a twin or a king size, or something else, you can order the Solaire at any length, as an ordinary model. If you decide to go with a queen or a king or split king, you can upgrade to the Upper-Flex queen, king, or split King, which all feature dual air chambers which means that sleepers can choose their own level of firmness.
The standard model can be used on all bed frames (including adjustable bases). However, the Upper-Flex queen, king and the split king options are designed to specifically work on adjustable bases that permit both sides to be adjusted independently.
Saatva Company offers adjustable frames. Saatva Company offers its own adjustable frames, which include Lineal Adjustable Base Standard and the Lineal Adjustable Base Standard and the Lineal Adjustable Base Upper-Flex. With the frame’s upper-flex, couples can use the remote to adjust their shoulders and heads separately (for example, one of them can lie flat to sleep while the other one sits and reads a book).
The upper-flex frame designed specifically for the split king Solaire also allows both individuals to raise their bodies separately. We couldn’t find enough high-quality user reviews to put on this list We’ll revise this guide when we’re in a position to try the bed out ourselves and gather more reviews. Saatva Reviews Reddit
In May 2019, Saatva introduced the Saatva HD Hybrid Mattress designed for people who weigh between 300 and 500 pounds. We haven’t yet tested the mattress , yet. However, we’re hoping to test it in the near future.
Similar to Saatva Classic and the Loom & Leaf the Saatva HD has a pillowy quilted top layer however the firm underlying foam and coil layers allegedly support greater weight. We’re particularly interested in the HD’s pillow top, because experts told us that for heavier people, pillow tops could be particularly prone to indentations.
The HD’s other components, however, seem promising as far as durability is concerned: There is a latex layer, which is typically stronger than memory foam, as well as a memory-foam layer, which has a density of 5 pounds per cubic foot (more than the 4-pounds-per-cubic-foot minimum that experts typically recommend for people who weigh over 200 pounds). What’s more the HD’s 12 1/2 -gauge coils are more robust than the coils in the other models of the company and those in its competitors like The Big Fig.
Still, these aren’t the only factors that determine the durability of a mattress and, by itself, isn’t enough to make a good mattress. We’ll be looking into the issues in a upcoming guide to mattresses for those who weigh over 200 pounds.Saatva “strongly recommends” that you place this mattress on a sturdy platform bed with vertical center support.
Otherwise, representatives told us that you should purchase the HD along with its special “high durabil” wooden-slat base. Also, we found a few helpful user reviews. Once we’ve gathered enough to glean any patterns and have the ability for a mattress test, we’ll send an update. Saatva Reviews Reddit
It’s called the Saatva Youth, the company’s relatively new bed made of coils and foams for children costs more than mattresses for grown-ups. However, it is double-sided, featuring the coil layer sandwiched between two foam layers, so the mattress can grow along with a kid.
One side of the mattress is intended for children aged 3 to 7 and is comprised of zoned polyfoam with densities ranging between 1.4 to 1.8 kg per cubic foot.
On the other side, intended for older kids (the company says that the age range is 8-12) the density of foam ranges from 1.5 grams per cubic foot. It’s also a bit softer because it’s paired with the firmer side that’s part of the coil. The 13 3/4 gauge coils vary from 330 in a twin to 350 in a twin XL. They also go up to 462 for a full.
The Saatva Youth is 10 inches thick and bunk-bed-friendly-as long as the bed’s guardrail is at least 5 inches higher than the mattress, for safety reasons. Those who prefer natural materials may appreciate the fact the fact that the mattress is covered in a thick, quilted organic-cotton cover and uses thistle pulp (as as opposed to chemical sprays or fiberglass) as the fire retardant.
