In the field of mattresses on the internet, Saatva stands apart in fundamental ways. Saatva delivers its mattresses by trucks, not in boxes. And even though, like other sellers on the internet they have progressively increased its inventory, Saatva remains focused on offering a variety of “luxury” models that are all priced in the range of its Youth model, more than $1,500 (for one queen size). Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
There’s no doubt that there’s a range of mattresses that are more luxurious than Saatva’s. They have more coils and better materials.
However, we consider Saatva’s mattresses to be among the most elegant-looking and well-designed options that are available from an online business.
Over the past three years, our team has group-tested our innerspring Saatva Classic, the memory-foam Loom and Leaf, as well as the all-latex Zenhaven, and they’ve consistently been among our top picks in our reviews of the top foam mattresses and the top innerspring mattresses.
We’ve also experienced sleeping on the Saatva latex hybrid, and we’ve researched the components and construction of the rest of the beds in Saatva’s lineup. The majority of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, which is why this Saatva Classic stands out. It’s among the few innerspring mattresses you can conveniently purchase online.
Pocketed coils provide this Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top. The extra soft top makes it more comfortable. Additionally, like all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by moving trucks, not in a box. Saatva also provides an extensive 180-day trial and simple returns.
It’s all foam. Loom & Leaf is made with denser memory foam than other mattresses under $1,000, making it less likely to sag in time. It’s ideal for those who weigh more than 200 pounds.
The quilted and thick cover is more cushier, and more sturdy than the sock-like cover of most foam mattresses and it makes the memory foam layer beneath feel less as squishy.
Like you would expect from a memory-foam bed The Loom & Leaf limits motion more as compared to those with innersprings like the Saatva Classic.All-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex-specifically Talalay latex. It is made from the plant’s milky sap and is intrinsically robust. Talalay is less stiff than Dunlop latex, which is typically found in cheaper latex mattresses we’ve tried.
Zenhaven is a good choice. Zenhaven can be flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, whereas it’s Gentle Firm side feels a slightly firmer) It could prove beneficial if you’re unsure which side you prefer or your needs change over time.
This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, but it has a soft cushion, excellent edge support, and subtle springiness.
Given its innate durability, the Zenhaven should work well for those who weigh greater than 200 pounds. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
Making sense of Saatva
Saatva’s portfolio of beds-many with a choice of firmness levels and catering to almost every comfort preference-includes:
- Saatva Classic (innerspring)
- Loom & Leaf (all foam)
- Zenhaven (all latex)
- Saatva Latex Hybrid (latex with coils)
- Solaire (a mattress with adjustable air chambers)
- Saatva HD (a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds)
- Saatva Youth (a foam-coil hybrid designed for kids ages 3 through 12)
We haven’t yet taken an exhaustive study of what we consider to be the “natural” claims of Saatva or others “eco-friendly” brand names.
However, we know that the company makes use of organic wool or thistle pulp as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its mattress covers.
Like other mattress brands online, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal support” but we’re not than thrilled with these extras and more appreciative of Saatva’s customer service that is responsive as well as its long-lasting coils and foams. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
Saatva Video Review
Who’s it to be used forThe Saatva Classic will likely be a good fit for those who prefer a cushy (but not too bulky) top layer as well as the feel of a solid, durable. Its Luxury Firm version (Saatva’s “Medium” product), which we tested will be suitable for the back, sidestomach and side-sleepers. The more softer Plush Soft version is geared to side-sleepers and the Firm versioncaters for stomach and back-sleepers.
How it feels:We tested the Luxury Firm version of the Saatva Classic-the line’s most popular option-and found it to be cushy on top, with good rebound and support. It begins with the feel of a firm, square shape, but it becomes softer after the break-in period that lasts a couple of months.
What we like:The Saatva Classic is one of the very few innerspring mattresses can be purchased online without the convenience often associated with purchasing a boxed foam mattress. It is made up of 416 sturdy coils at the base for support, and 884 individually wrapped, more flexible coils on top for pressure relief. There’s a small amount of memory foam in the mix, however the actual cushioning comes from a 3-inch polyfoam-and-fiber Euro top (an additional layer of cushion that is sewn beneath the top layer). The result is a soft and comfortable appeal-supportive, resilient, and with a plushness that doesn’t feel bulky.
We tried the 14 1/2-inch Saatva Classic in Luxury Firm in a 2021 group test that included mattresses with innersprings (it’s additionally available in 11 1/2″), and it captured the second-highest number of top-rated polls (nine from 39 test participants) in the $1,000-$2,000 range (which comprised it alongside the Avocado as well as the Parachute and the top-ranked WinkBed). Five of the nine test subjects were awestruck by it more than the Saatva Classic better than any of the other mattresses on the test, including those which cost twice as much; two of the nine testers chose it as their second favorite overall.
In the case of the test at home, I looked forward to sleeping in this bed every night. I’m not a fan overly bulky bed, so I was pleased how the Classic’s Euro top felt to me like just the right amount of cuddling. The bed has some bounce, but not so much that my husband’s rolling over awakened me. To me, the feeling of buoyancy was worth the sacrifice in motion isolation.
It’s priced at around $1,600 when not for sale (though it is often), the Saatva Classic is the least expensive innerspring mattress we’ve tested that feels thick and luxurious. We also love the fact that you have the option of choosing from three different levels of firmness: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, or Firm-so you can likely find a good fit regardless of the position you sleep in. In contrast to the more sluggish WinkBed, another pick in the innerspring mattress guide The Saatva Classic is delivered unboxed by the movers (so that “new mattresses smell” is already gone from the factory and while in transit), and this “white glove” delivery is absolutely free. The company provides a generous 180-day trial period, along with a 15-year warranty.
The things we do not likeabout: If you’re not fond of an extremely bouncy mattress or are sensitive to your sleep partner’s movements while in bed, you probably won’t like this mattress. Saatva Classic. Although all the coils on top are wrapped individually, the bottom coils aren’t, so the bed has a bit more motion transfer than our other innerspring options like the WinkBed. If you’re not keen on any bounce You’re better off using Saatva’s Loom & Leaf.
It is worth noting that the Saatva Classic also requires a bit of break-in time. When we first tested the mattress in 2018, it felt medium-firm; after a year and half later, we found that it softened bit however in a pleasing way (at least to me). This is not an “Soft” mattress However, those who like that may want to try it out. Plush Soft version, which we haven’t tried yet.
The company boasts of an “active Lumbar Zone” technology to provide “additional back support,” our husband (who weighs in the vicinity of 200 pounds) was still in search of more support from the Luxury Firm. He may have found that feature in the version for Firm however, we haven’t tried it yet, so we don’t know for sure. In general, we are not awed by the zones, as people come in various sizes and shapes and they could spread out in a way that doesn’t conform to the zoning patterns.
The foam densities in the Saatva Classic are less than those of the Loom & Leaf, the company’s foam-mattress offering. Although representatives of the company would not divulge the details, we were told the density of memory foam weighs at minimum 3 pounds per cubic foot, and that the density of the polyfoam is 1 1/2 pounds per cubic foot.
This isn’t as great as the densities in the Loom & Leaf, but the specs are typical of an innerspring bed, and especially one that’s priced in this range. Unlike with foam mattresses, this mattress’s steel coils provide additional support, and the quilting may help to prevent body impressions.
But as in this Reddit post indicates, some sleepers have had better luck on their Saatva mattresses over many years than others; we believe this is based on the size and shape of the person sleeping on it. Like all Euro- or pillow-top mattresses, the more you weigh the greater chance of getting imprints and sagging as time passes.
Therefore, you should rotate your mattress at least once every six months. You should also sleep over the bed.
Saatva Classic top owner-review feedback
We were able to find only 39 owner reviews that are of high-quality (those that didn’t seem untrue or unclear and were published in the past, both in 2019 and 2020). While the sample size is rather small, it’s notable that nearly 30% of positive reviews praised Saatva’s service to customers. This is a higher percentage than what we’ve seen with other online mattress companies.
We also noticed that six of the reviewers mentioned that sagging was an issue; one of them was weighing more than 200lbs and the other weighed less than that or didn’t mention. All but one had owned the mattress for more than a year at the time they wrote their reviews. This indicates that turning the mattress is vital; heavier people who like innersprings might want to look at a mattress with intrinsically more-durable latex foam, such as the Charles P. Rogers Estate SE. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
Saatva Loom & Leaf
What it’s designed intended for This all foam Loom & Leaf appeals to those who appreciate memory foam that holds rather than engulfing them in a soft, slow hug. The soft Relaxed Firm model could be ideal for sleepers on the side. The Firm version is intended to be used by stomach- or back-sleepers. If you weigh over 200 pounds could be able to find the Firm version to be more comfortable than the Relaxed Firm.
The way it feels:The Relaxed Firm is a mattress with a moderate firmness that holds you without pulling you in. The Firm (which we’ve tested only in an actual showroom) is much more firm.
We like: The 12-inch-thick Loom & Leaf comes with an extremely durable, quilted cover similar to that you’d get on a good innerspring mattress (by comparison, most memory-foam mattresses are made of sock-like, thin covers). This cover comes with its own foam padding, which brings additional nuance to the typically one-note squishiness of cheaper memory-foam mattresses. I lay on the Relaxed Firm at home for over one week and liked that it was cuddly and solid but also firm. The husband of mine, who prefers mattress that are firm, and weighs less than 200 pounds, which is 70 pounds more than me-felt it was too soft.
Whereas most online mattresses have a memory-foam density in the 3-pounds-per-cubic-foot range, the Loom & Leaf’s top layer has a 4-pounds-per-cubic-foot density with a gel-infused layer meant to assist with cooling (though cooling features like gel and perforations tend to have minimal impact). The mattress also has a 5-pounds-per-cubic-foot memory-foam layer underneath that top layer. With these specifications, we think this mattress will be less likely to slump or create body indentions as opposed to other foam mattresses even for those who weigh more than 200 pounds (though it may not be suitable when you weigh more than 250 pounds; check owner-review feedback below). As with every foam mattress has a high-quality motion isolation.
In 2020, we conducted a test of in 2020 the Loom & Leaf Relaxed Firm against the Serta iComfort (both are all-foam mattresses that cost more than $1000) The results showed that 20 out of 29 people preferred to the Loom & Leaf. “It was more comfortable” was a popular reason; a few claimed it was more “cushioned.” We test it against Casper Wave Casper Wave in 2019 the results were split (18 in favor of the Wave 16 for it; 16 for the Loom & Leaf). People who went with that Loom & Leaf preferred its “cushier” or “more conforming” feel or liked the quilting’s texture while those who went with more of the Casper Wave described the Wave as being more supportive and it was more supportive. Loom & Leaf as making them feel more “stuck.”
We also like that the Loom & Leaf, like the rest of Saatva Company’s mattresses, is delivered in a box, and by the movers. It doesn’t require you to blow it out like many boxed mattresses; most off-gassing has likely already occurred at the manufacturing facility.
The thing we don’t like about HTML0: We wish Saatva could provide a level of firmness between Firm and Relaxed Firm. The two levels are at least a few gradations between them. While Loom & Leaf Loom & Leaf has better edge support than the other popular models on the internet (such like the Leesa or the Casper), it’s not as robust as a combination (like those like the Leesa Hybrid or Tempur-Adapt).
Despite the Loom & Leave’s cooling gel and pin core (punctured) design touted in the top layer I did sleep a little warmer on this mattress which was surprising considering that I’m always cold. Given that it was in the middle in winter, I did not mind too much. The tiny holes designed to cool the foam could compromise the longevity that the foam has, but probably only slightly. Given that it is the Loom & Leaf has a top layer memory-foam density of four tons per cubic foot it should remain more durable than your standard $1000 or less online foam mattress.
Loom & Leaf top owner-review feedback
We only found 16 high-quality, recent user reviews for the Loom & Leaf. Like similar to the Saatva Classic, the quality of customer service has stood out from the positive reviews. In 2019 , and in 2020 reviews, more people described this Loom & Leaf as “too firm” rather than “too smooth.” But it’s not easy to determine its texture. Many reviewers didn’t specify whether they’d ordered the Relaxed Firm or the Firm.
We also observed that reviewers who are heavier tend to refer to their experience with the Loom & Leaf as too soft, or even saggy. For instance, we saw complaints on Reddit regarding this Relaxed Firm version sagging for those who weigh around 250 pounds. If this is your case, try using the Firm version (though it’s very stiff) or it could be the the Tempur-Adapt (which is also made of dense foam, but with a distinct memory foam hug). If you weigh more than 200 pounds, consider Zenhaven. Zenhaven that is built with more durable latex foam. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
Do we recommend it? Yes.
Who it’s for: This latex foam Zenhaven is a good choice for people sleeping in all positions, especially those who want a firm cushion that doesn’t give the “sunk-in” feeling. It’s also good for those of all weights that include those who weigh more than 200 pounds.
How it feels: This mattress can be flipped, and it has handles that allow you to pick between two options The Luxury Plush aspect is located on the soft side of the medium-firm spectrum and is ideal for those who sleep on their sides. Its Gentle Firm side offers a slightly more firmer feeling (the firm claims it’s around 20% firmer, and that sounds right to us).
What we likeabout it: The Zenhaven consists of two latex layers (one of which is a zoned one for pressure points and lower-back support, though this may or might not be beneficial in the light of your weight and the position you sleep on your bed). Latex is a type of foam that comes from the milky sap of the rubber tree and it is intrinsically stronger than polyurethane or memory foam. Therefore, we think that this mattress is more durable for those who weigh over 200 pounds.
We love that the Zenhaven is made specifically out of Talalay latex, which feels more soft than Dunlop latex that is commonly used in less expensive, stiffer latex mattresses, like the Sleep On Latex Pure Green. The Luxury Plush as well as the Gentle Firm sides of the Zenhaven feel supple and not elastic. The whole bed is also more comfortable than mattresses made of Dunlop latex.
I have slept in the Zenhaven for a few months. Personally, I prefer a more pillowy feeling (like those of Saatva Classic) however, the Luxury Plush aspect of the Zenhaven had grown on me. After using it for a couple of weeks, I began to appreciate its supple slightly springy surface as well as its the cushioned cradle.
My son of 10 is also fond of jumping on it, and the Zenhaven’s motion-isolation feature does not stop me from being a bit uncomfortable about that. However, it’s sufficient that I don’t feel the need to notice my husband’s movements at night. The edge support is slightly higher than the majority of foam mattresses, and even on the Loom & Leaf.
My husband, who is less than 200 pounds, and who usually sleeps on his back, finds that the Zenhaven superior to the other mattresses. It is more substantial and attractive than the memory foam Loom & Leaf Relaxed Firm as well as the Saatva Classic Luxury Firm.
The Zenhaven is delivered by movers, not shipped in a container, so it’s less likely to emit that new-mattress smell in your home. It’s possible to switch between the softer Luxury Plush side and the Gentle Firm side as your preferences and needs change, or you just aren’t certain which firmness level you’d like. Due to the weight of the mattress (the queen is 125 kilograms), Saatva will send moving experts to help you out by completing a single “courtesy” switch.
The things we don’t love about HTML0:Although the Zenhaven has more supple and soft feel than other mattresses that are all-latex online, it’s still less luxurious-feeling than similarly priced innersprings as well as traditional foam mattresses since it’s not conventionally “fluffy.” It was the only two (of 29) staffers who were more satisfied than any other model in our 2020 test of mattress hybrids and foam said they enjoyed that it was supportive, and believed that it could last a long time. (In the latex category, most staffers in our blind test preferred the PranaSleep Lotus Asana 6 in Plush, which has a latex-polyurethane-foam construction and costs over $1,000 more than the Zenhaven.)
Since the Zenhaven is extremely heavy and two-sided and two-sided, it must be placed on a solid, high-quality platform bed or a boxspring and frame in good shape. Saatva offers a Boxspring Foundation (which is available in two sizes) and a frame made of metal.
Zenhaven top review of owner feedback
We could find just 18 reviews from owners of high-quality for Zenhaven. It’s a tiny sample size to provide any conclusive, objective, and non-subjective information in addition to excellent customer service. However, we did discover an extremely descriptive post written by a more long-term owner who was not sure of his weight (though he did claim that the height was 6 feet 4 inches tall).
He stated that after a year one-half, he loved its cushion and durability but, since he had not been turning the mattress around, there was a hip impression after which, when he started turning the mattress once every 6 months, he reported that the impression disappeared. We’ll update this section once we’ve collected more high-quality reviews. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
Saatva Latex Hybrid
What it’s designed to be used forThe Saatva Latex Hybrid is best suited to those who prize durability over extravagantness. It’s ideal for back and stomach sleepers, and for people who move around often. It’s designed to last for the majority of people, even those who weigh over 200 pounds.
The way it feelsThis 13-inch latex-and-coil hybrid is on the firm side of medium-firm. It feels distinctly buoyant, somewhat bouncy and with some cushioning and hugging. It’s not a plush mattress, though, and you’ll sleep better the mattress the mattress rather than in it.
What we like:The Saatva Latex Hybrid is constructed using top-quality materials and construction techniques. The quilted top, made of cotton and wool (a natural fire retardant) is hand-tufted to the layers underneath. Tufting (commonly found on furniture or traditional innerspring mattresses) is a type of stitching with a heavy-duty structure that binds the layers, which some argue can last longer than glue, and also avoids the chemical smell that adhesives can emit. Its peaks as well as valleys made by tufting can help limit any obvious body impressions, and more so than the sock-covered and smooth-topped mattresses that are typically seen on hybrids that are sold online.
Although most hybrids use a layer of polyurethane foam on top of coils, this one Saatva Latex Hybrid uses 3 inches of Talalay latex foam (which is plenty, when compared with the pricier Casper Wave, which uses half as much). Latex is inherently more durable and breathable than memory foams or polyurethane. Talalay latex, utilized in the Zenhaven, is a more breathable and supple-feeling foam as opposed to the Dunlop variety often used in cheaper latex mattresses.
Wirecutter’s supervisory editor Wendy Schley tested the Saatva Latex Hybrid for several months at home. She found it strong and supportive. “It seems like it’s floating,” she said. “There’s some cushioning to it but it’s not luxurious in the way that a luxurious mattress would be.” Wendy found that the mattress had a bouncy and springy sensation that was reminiscent of an innerspring. She was never stuck. However, the latex foam did provide some motion-simplification. The edge support is excellent thanks to the thick (13 3/4-gauge) 8-inch coils around the edge.
Due to its breathable material (the Talalay latex, cotton cover and wool layer at the top) and coils that make up the Saatva Latex Hybrid should sleep cooler than all-foam mattresses and hybrids made from polyfoams. Wendy who is known to be hot at night, found the Saatva Latex Hybrid to be considerably cooler than the other mattresses, though we haven’t yet tested it during the summer months.
We haven’t found enough high-quality Saatva Latex Hybrid reviews to discern any trends, but we’ll update accordingly when we can.
We don’t love: Though the coils are individually wrapped however, there’s a bit of motion transfer, due to they’re coils. It’s not as noticeable as Motion transfer found on Saatva Classic, but it’s much more prominent when compared to all-foam models like those from the Loom & Leaf or Zenhaven.
A queen-sized Latex Hybrid contains 789 coils (fewer than in our favorite hybrid mattresses, the the Tempur-Adapt as well as the Leesa Hybrid, that have more than 1,000). If a mattress is made up of fewer coils, it sometimes means the mattress won’t conform as well with your physique. But the firmness from the soft latex makes the up.
As Wendy experienced her experience, the Saatva Latex Hybrid isn’t an ahhh kind of mattress. It’s as if it’s lifting you up, rather than nestling you in. The mattress may not provide enough cushioning to provide adequate pressure relief to side-sleepers or back sleepers who require extra cushioning for specific joints.
Wendy that sleeps back and side, reported that she sometimes awakened with soreness in her shoulders and lower back after sleeping on the Saatva Latex Hybrid. If you’re looking to get something more plush, you may prefer the Saatva Classic or the Loom & Leaf (both are available in a variety of degree of firmness, with some that are softer than Saatva Latex).
The tufting of the Latex Hybrid’s is finished with attractive yarn tassels. They look lovely, but are reportedly flimsy attached to the mattress, and one of the tassels that were on the mattress Wendy tried to unraveled after several weeks. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
Saatva Solaire Adjustable
Saatva’s Solaire is an adjustable-air bed, consisting of foam placed on top of air chambers, which can be programmed to your preferred firmness level by using the remote. We haven’t tried the Solaire yet, but we’ll update this article when we do. In the meantime, we’ll talk about what we know about the Solaire.
Saatva launched the Solaire in the year 2019 to compete with the Sleep Number’s premium i8 mattress. Apart from air chambers and remotes and a remote, the Solaire is equipped with a pillow top, a Talalay the layer of latex, and an infused memory foam layer. It’s also cheaper by $650 that the Sleep Number I8.
It has 50 different settings as opposed to Sleep Number’s 20 settings, but realistically we’re not sure whether people even need that many. At a glance, the comfort components look like they’d provide a more-curve-conforming cradle than Sleep Number’s polyurethane foam layers.
But, of course we won’t be able to tell for sure until we lie down in the bed. Solaire’s Talalay latex materials suggest longevity However, because Sleep Number does not provide information about its foam components, it isn’t possible to say that one bed is more durable than the other.
If you decide to go with one of the twins, a king, or something else in between You can purchase Solaire Solaire at any length, as a standard model. Or, if you choose either a queen or a king and want to upgrade, you can choose the Upper-Flex queen, King, or split King, which all feature dual air chambers meaning that the sleepers can select the firmness level they prefer.
The standard model works on all bed frames (including bases that can be adjusted). The Upper-Flex queen king and the split-king models are made to work specifically on adjustable bases that allow both sides to be adjusted independently.
Saatva Company offers adjustable frames. Saatva Company offers its own adjustable frames, which include Lineal Adjustable Base Standard and the Lineal Adjustable Base Standard and the Lineal Adjustable Base Upper-Flex. With the frame’s upper-flex, couples can use a remote to position their shoulders and head separately (for example, one of them can lie flat to sleep while the other one sits and reads a book).
The Upper-Flex designed specifically for the split king Solaire will also permit both to elevate their lower bodies independently. We couldn’t locate enough high-quality owner reviews to list here We’ll revise this guide when we’re able to test the bed for ourselves and gather additional reviews. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
In May, Saatva introduced the Saatva HD which is a hybrid mattress specifically designed for those who weigh between 300-500 pounds. We haven’t tested this product yet but we plan to do so in the future.
Like the Saatva Classic and the Loom & Leaf Saatva HD Saatva HD has a pillowy, quilted top layer, however the firm coils and foam underneath allegedly support heavier weights. We’re especially curious about the pillow top of the HD, because experts told us that, for those who are heavier pillows can be especially susceptible to indentation.
The HD’s other components, however, seem promising as far as durability is concerned: There is a latex layer, which is typically stronger than memory foam, as well as a memory-foam layer, which has a density of 5 pounds per cubic foot (more than the 4-pounds-per-cubic-foot minimum that experts typically recommend for people who weigh over 200 pounds). Additionally the HD’s 12 1/2 -gauge coils are thicker than those in the company’s other models and those of its rivals like Big Fig. Big Fig.
However, these aren’t the only criteria that affect a mattress’s durability as well as its durability on its own doesn’t make for an appealing mattress. We’ll be looking into these issues further in an upcoming guide to mattresses for people who weigh over 200 pounds.Saatva “strongly strongly suggests” that you put this mattress on a sturdy platform bed with vertical center support.
In other words, Saatva representatives advised us that you should buy the HD together with its unique “high endurance” wood-slat foundation. We also spotted a few helpful user reviews. Once we’ve gathered enough to identify any patterns and have the ability for a mattress test, we’ll give an update. Saatva Vs Purple Reddit
The Saatva Youth The company’s innovative coil-and-foam mattress for children is more expensive than mattresses for adults. However, it is dual-sided, with the coil layer sandwiched between two foam layers, so the mattress can expand with the child.
The first side is intended for children aged 3 to 7, and it consists of zoned polyfoam with densities ranging between 1.4 up to 1.8 pounds per cubic foot.
The second side is meant for children older than (the company states that it’s for that the age range is 8-12) the density of foam can be as high as 1.5 grams per cubic foot and somewhat softer because it’s paired with the firmer part of the coil unit. The 13 3/4 gauge coils range from 330 in a twin to 350 for a twin-XL. They also go up to 462 for a full.
The Saatva Youth is 10 inches thick and bunk-bed-friendly-as long as the bed’s guardrail is at least 5 inches higher than the mattress, for safety reasons. People who prefer natural materials will appreciate the fact that the mattress is covered in a thick, quilted organic cotton cover. It also uses thistle pulp (as instead of chemical sprays or fiberglass) to act as a flame-resistant. We haven’t yet tried this mattress as we haven’t found any reviews online. However, we’re planning to test it for a possible guide to kids’ mattresses.
